Disciplinary action against Khadijah Shah by the FIA has been halted.
The lawyer states that there has been no complainant identified in this case.
The Lahore High Court has issued an order to prevent the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from initiating disciplinary proceedings against Khadijah Shah, a PTI activist and designer. Justice Ali Baqir Najafi presided over the hearing of Shah's petition, challenging the FIA's money laundering inquiry against her.
Khadijah's lawyer, Sameer Khosa, argued that no complaints have been lodged with the FIA regarding the matter. He clarified that the inquiry is not based on a formal FIR but is a suo motu inquiry. Khosa pointed out five irregularities in the inquiry, emphasizing that no complainants have come forward.
Additionally, Khosa highlighted that Khadijah Shah secured bail in four cases and was subsequently arrested under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO). He appealed to the court for a temporary stay on the inquiry and requested preventive measures to avoid Khadijah Shah's re-detention.
The court adjourned the case's hearing until December 22. On December 11, Khadijah Shah was arrested by Quetta police on charges of murder and attempted murder, with the Punjab government later withdrawing her detention order. The anti-terrorism court granted her a two-day transit remand.
