Social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, experienced brief worldwide outages before swiftly restoring its services, according to Downdetector on Thursday.
The disruption, affecting both X and its advanced version, X Pro, was resolved within approximately one and a half hours.
Users faced difficulties accessing posts on X, greeted with a "Welcome to X!" message, while those on X Pro, formerly TweetDeck, encountered loading issues with a "Waiting for posts" message.
Downdetector recorded over 47,000 US users experiencing access problems, with a notable surge in user complaints within the past 24 hours.
Downdetector clarified that it reports incidents only when the number of problem reports significantly exceeds the typical volume for that time of day.
