Pakistan reveals a significant cut in costs with the unveiling of the Hajj policy for 2024.

On Thursday, Religious Affairs Minister Aneeq Ahmed revealed the Hajj policy for 2024. The upcoming Hajj season will undergo digitization, offering pilgrims an internet-free mobile application and an unlimited free call package.

According to Aneeq Ahmed, last year's Hajj cost Rs11075000, but this year's expenses will amount to 1075000. He emphasized the quality of accommodations for pilgrims in both Holy cities.

The minister clarified that the cost of a sacrificial animal is not included in the initial Hajj package. Additionally, individuals opting for a shorter Hajj will need to pay an extra Rs75,000.

Aneeq Ahmed informed the media that the caretaker cabinet approved the groundbreaking Hajj policy, marking a significant shift in the pilgrimage experience. The upcoming Hajj aims to surpass its predecessor, with plans in place to accommodate a large number of pilgrims.

The first phase of the policy introduces an 'affordable' package priced at 1075 thousand rupees. Ongoing discussions with airlines are focused on securing minimum airfare, with the savings designated for pilgrims' accounts.

Embracing digital advancements, the Ministry of IT played a key role in digitizing the Hajj process. The dedicated Hajj 2024 app promises a streamlined experience for pilgrims, providing efficient management with QR-coded suitcases for 90,000 pilgrims. The app, designed to function seamlessly in low-connectivity areas, offers Haji 7GB of data internet for 40 days, enabling unlimited calls within Pakistan.

Aneeq Ahmed highlighted the introduction of abayas featuring the Pakistani flag for women on the spiritual journey. Small bags and Ihram will also be distributed to facilitate the pilgrimage process.

An unprecedented short Hajj, spanning 20 to 21 days, has been introduced. The Hajj 2024 policy promises a harmonious blend of tradition and technological innovation.
