Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar emphasized on Tuesday that regional peace hinges on the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute between Pakistan and India.
Addressing the graduation ceremony of officers at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy Asghar Khan, PM Kakar clarified that peace-loving Pakistan seeks friendly relations with all nations, particularly its neighbors. He underscored that Pakistan's pursuit of peace should not be interpreted as a sign of weakness.
The prime minister strongly condemned the grave human rights situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that Pakistan would enhance its capabilities in line with evolving technology to deter aggression without engaging in an arms race. He highlighted the impact of the rapidly changing geo-strategic environment, stressing the need for advancements in space networks, cyber technology, nano technology, and artificial intelligence.
Expressing satisfaction with the PAF's modernization through the smart induction of cutting-edge technology, PM Kakar lauded the armed forces' professionalism and competence in coping with internal and external challenges. He commended their sacrifices for national defense and nation-building.
PM Kakar assured the nation that, as in the past, challenges would be overcome, making the country prosperous. Congratulating the graduates, he urged them, as custodians of the PAF, to stay abreast of modern technology and trends related to modern warfare.
During the ceremony, 131 Aviation Cadets, 08 Gentleman Cadets, and 03 Naval Cadets graduated. The prime minister awarded branch insignias and trophies to distinction holders. Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu received the prime minister, who inspected the contingents of the PAF falcons.
The prime minister awarded the Quaid-e-Azam Banner to the Champions No. 3 Squadron for consistently outstanding performance. Badges were pinned on professionally distinguished graduating cadets, and Chief of the Air Staff trophies for best performance were presented in various categories.
The prime minister witnessed aerobatics by the PAF Academy Aerobatics team "Bravehearts" and a thrilling formation flying display by PAF Mirage, F-7PG, JF-17, and J-10C fighter jets, showcasing the PAF's professional prowess.
