The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been granted permission to investigate Imran Khan in jail for a period of three days in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

The accountability court has issued a written order granting the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) permission to detain PTI Chairman Imran Khan for three days in connection with the 190-million-pound Al-Qadir Trust scandal.

The order mentions that, according to NAB, Imran Khan returned embezzled funds from Pakistan to the accused. NAB alleges that the suspect exchanged the money for land and funds for Al-Qadir Trust, presenting concrete evidence of corruption committed by Imran Khan.

NAB has requested the suspect's physical remand to facilitate further investigation, while Imran Khan maintains he did not receive any financial benefits. The suspect argues that if money laundering were proven, the cost would be 100 million pounds.

NAB officials are granted three days to interrogate Imran Khan in jail, and a subsequent hearing on the physical remand request is scheduled for November 17.

The Interior Ministry issued a notification on Tuesday for Imran Khan's jail trial in the 190-million-pound case, following the delivery of NAB's arrest warrants a day earlier.

Simultaneously, the Islamabad accountability court extended the interim bail of the former prime minister's wife in the Toshakhana and 190-million-pound Al-Qadir Trust cases until November 17. During the hearing, when no lawyer appeared on behalf of Bushra Bibi, the NAB prosecutor noted his unawareness, citing Sardar Latif Khosa as the counsel in the case.
