On Tuesday, the Islamabad High Court cleared Pakistan Muslim League leader Nawaz Sharif of all charges in the Al-Azizia case.

Nawaz Sharif receives significant relief in the Al-Azizia reference.

A brief verdict was announced by the divisional bench, headed by Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Gul Hassan Aurangzeb, in the Al-Azizia case. The court rejected the National Accountability Bureau's request to remand the case to the trial court and proceeded to hear the case on its merits. Five years ago, the PML-N leader had received a 7-year prison sentence in the case, along with a fine of Rs1.5 billion.
