The court has not yet delivered a verdict on the remand of Fawad Chaudhry in the NAB probe.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has requested a 10-day physical remand from the court in a case related to misappropriation in land procurement for the construction of Pind Dadan Khan Jhelum Road.
The NAB investigation officer informed the court that during the initial 10-day remand, relevant records and statements were verified. The officer mentioned suspicious transactions in bank records that require investigation with Fawad Chaudhry.
Seeking an additional four days of physical remand, he stated that this would conclude the inquiry, and the contractor and XEN have been summoned to appear before NAB on January 2.
Eight out of the 16 kanals of land procured have been transferred in Fawad Chaudhry's name. Chaudhry questioned NAB's behavior, highlighting that the road project had been approved by provincial and federal governments and authorized by ECNEC.
He argued that NAB does not have the authority to question the feasibility of an approved project, especially one managed by FWO with no tenders issued.
Chaudhry also refuted NAB's claim of receiving five million rupees for his family, requesting the discharge of the case. The defense lawyer argued that the contractor had been summoned for January 2, making a 10-day remand unnecessary.
Chaudhry's arrest during the inquiry stage was criticized as an attempt to sideline him from elections.
