It seems that PTI's claims about a fair competition environment are accurate, as stated by Justice Minallah.
  • Shoaib Shaheen highlights the ongoing use of MPO orders against PTI.
  • The Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan questions the Election Commission of Pakistan's inaction in stopping MPO orders.
  • The Attorney General of Pakistan suggests that the ECP should obtain reports from all Inspector Generals of Police.

Supreme Court Justice Athar Minallah stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) claims of a lack of a level-playing field in the upcoming general elections are prima facie correct.
The observation came during the hearing of PTI's petition on the matter.
A three-member bench directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) representative to meet with PTI counsels to address concerns about the level-playing field.
The court also instructed the Attorney General to assist the ECP in the meeting. The PTI's lawyer, Shoaib Shaheen, mentioned the continued issuance of Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) orders against their leaders, prompting questions from the court about the ECP's actions.
The court directed the ECP to address all complaints and ordered the IGs not to harass PTI candidates.
