Even before the Pakistani government's announcement of arrests and compulsory repatriation of Afghans residing in the country, a significant number of undocumented residents have voluntarily crossed the border into Afghanistan to avoid potential arrest.

As of Friday, the cumulative count of purportedly undocumented Afghans leaving Pakistan has reached 453,480, with the repatriation process still ongoing.
During this repatriation effort, 131 families, traveling in 112 vehicles, have returned to Afghanistan.
