Emphasizing a collaborative approach, he urged stakeholders to realize short to medium-term benefits while simultaneously initiating measures for long-term endeavors in the best interest of the nation.

During the 7th meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Apex Committee, chaired by Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, federal cabinet members, provincial chief ministers, and high-ranking government officials, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to pursue SIFC initiatives. The meeting, held to assess progress, saw ministries presenting updates on key sector projects and outlining plans to enhance the ecosystem for timely investments.

The committee expressed satisfaction with the overall progress under SIFC, commending increased engagement with friendly countries, both public and private entities, as well as an outreach strategy that proactively engages the investor community. The committee reviewed measures to improve the investment climate, approving policy-level interventions to boost investor confidence, such as profit repatriation, strengthening dispute resolution mechanisms, infrastructural and human resource development, and expeditious operationalization of the EXIM Bank.

A comprehensive strategy to address oil and gas issues sustainably was directed, emphasizing investment in relevant industries. Progress on the privatization of state-owned enterprises was appreciated, with the committee urging a swift continuation of the process. The Army Chief reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Army to support government initiatives across various domains for the sustainable recovery of the economy.
