The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) plans to set up 990 polling stations in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) for the upcoming general elections.

In preparation for the upcoming general elections in Islamabad, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), as per the election plan, is gearing up to establish approximately 990 polling stations and 3,096 polling booths.
Outlined in the election plan for Islamabad, it is anticipated that over one million voters will participate across the three constituencies in the federal capital. The capital city is divided into three districts, each further subdivided into constituencies: NA 46, NA 47, and NA 48. The comprehensive document provides insights into constituency population, registered voters, projected polling stations, and the allocation of election staff.
The document reveals that the total population of Islamabad stands at 2.36 million, with 1.83 million registered voters. Among them, there are 568,505 male voters and 514,625 female voters.
The Election Commission plans to appoint 1,040 presiding officers, 3,251 assistant presiding officers, and an equivalent number of polling officers. Additionally, 1,040 senior assistant polling officers will be appointed across the three constituencies.
