The Prime Minister advocates enhancing the tax system to stimulate economic growth.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar emphasized the importance of enhancing the taxation system to foster economic growth in the country. During an interview with PTV news on Sunday, he stated that the private sector should take on the responsibility of wealth creation and act as the driving force for the country's growth. The prime minister suggested that the government's focus should be on policy-making and appropriately taxing the generated wealth.

In addition, he stressed the need for responsible government spending of the accumulated tax. On the 59th anniversary of PTV, the prime minister visited the PTV headquarters, where he celebrated the occasion by cutting a cake with PTV employees. Congratulating PTV, he acknowledged the channel's vital role in projecting Pakistan's soft image and identity globally.

Addressing a question regarding Balochistan's natural resources, the prime minister noted that valuable minerals like gold and copper remain largely untapped. He mentioned that, following the 18th amendment, the issue of exploring and exploiting mineral resources has been resolved, with a 50:50 division between the province and the federation. The prime minister anticipated that the exploitation of Balochistan's significant resources, particularly copper and gold, would bring substantial benefits to the province and the country.

Highlighting the timely nature of the exploration, he explained that, in the past, Pakistan lacked the preparedness for exploration due to capacity, financial, and technical expertise issues. When asked about his future plans after the caretaker setup, the prime minister indicated that he had not foreseen a specific role for himself but expressed a willingness to contribute on the floor of the parliament, emphasizing his enjoyment as a member of parliament compared to his executive role.

Regarding PTV, the prime minister commended its contribution to remarkable dramas, music, and informative programs. He suggested documenting and presenting the region's ancient civilization, emphasizing Pakistan's rich culture in poetry, music, dance, and the presence of notable figures like Khushahl Khan Khattak, Shah Latif Bhattai, Bullhay Shah, and Waris Shah.
