Imran Khan remains the Chairman of PTI, as details of political parties are released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Despite Gohar assuming charge following intra-party polls, Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, is still officially listed as the party's chairman.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released details of political parties five days after announcing the election schedule, with information on 175 political parties and one alliance participating in the upcoming general election set for February 8, 2024.
The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) is the sole political alliance contesting the polls under the leadership of Pir Pagara Syed Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi. Noteworthy changes include the renaming of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Islahat (PTI) to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarian (PTIP), led by Pervez Khattak.
The ECP's list indicates that Imran Khan continues to lead PTI, despite Barrister Gohar Ali Khan's recent election as its new head. The intra-party election issue remains unresolved as the ECP reserved its judgment.
Key leaders of other prominent parties include Shehbaz Sharif (PML-N), Asif Ali Zardari (PPP Parliamentarians), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari (PPP), Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui (MQMP), Abdul Aleem Khan (IPP), Asfandyar Wali Khan (ANP), Sardar Akhtar Mengal (BNP), Maulana Fazlur Rahman (JUIF), Sirajul Haq (JI), Dr Abdul Malik (National Party), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain (PMLQ), Mehmood Khan Achakzai (PkMAP), Allama Raja Nasir Abbas (MWM), and Sheikh Rashid Ahmad (AML).
The ECP clarified details about the delimitation process, addressing misconceptions in the media. The spokesperson emphasized that the ECP, in compliance with the Elections Act, 2017, follows clear rules for delimitation, specifically regarding the allocation of seats based on population quotas.
The spokesperson also clarified that Hafizabad district's population and seat allocation were determined in accordance with the rules, dispelling the notion that the commission was obliged to merge districts
