A PML-N candidate swears an oath on the Holy Quran with the support of followers before the elections.

Makhdoom Basit Sultan Bukhari, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), administered an oath to his supporters on the Holy Quran as a pledge of loyalty in anticipation of the upcoming general elections.
In a widely circulated video on social media, Bukhari is seen sitting alongside his supporters who express their allegiance to him. Bukhari, who switched from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to join the PML-N, is a candidate for multiple constituencies in Muzaffargarh: NA-176, NA-177, PP-272, and PP-273. He stated that the oath was taken in response to propaganda against his political strength, asserting that his opponents' claims were false.
The supporters pledged to follow every decision made by Bukhari. He mentioned that the oath was taken in accordance with the former chairman's wishes and aimed to counter opponents' propaganda effectively. Pakistan is scheduled to conduct general elections on February 8, with major political parties vying for control of the central government.
