The Islamabad High Court has withheld its decision on the delimitation of constituencies belonging to Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

IHC Chief Justice Justice Aamer Farooq has reserved the decision following the presentation of arguments by attorneys representing the petitioner and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in a case related to the delimitation of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan's National Assembly (NA) and Punjab Assembly constituencies, namely NA-53 and PP-10.

During the proceedings, Kashif Malik Advocate, representing petitioner Sheikh Sajidur Rehman, asserted that according to section 10, no alterations could be made to an administrative unit. He appealed to the court to instruct the ECP to reintegrate the Sagri area into NA-53, which had been earlier excluded from the constituency and incorporated into Gujjer Khan.

In response, the ECP's legal representative countered the petitioner's stance, emphasizing that the delineations of these constituencies had been carried out in compliance with the Supreme Court's (SC) verdict, and modifications were not permissible at this stage.

The court, having considered the arguments, opted to reserve its decision on the matter. In a similar development the previous day, the IHC Chief Justice had also reserved the verdict after listening to arguments from both sides in the case challenging the delineations of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan's constituencies.
