Two individuals, including a highly sought-after terrorist, were fatally shot during a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) operation.
In the course of the mission, the terrorists' hideout was discovered to contain ammunition and contemporary firearms, which were subsequently confiscated.
As per CTD officials, the terrorists put up resistance during the operation, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Efforts are underway to identify the slain terrorist alongside Ghazanfar Nadeem, whose bounty was set at five million rupees.
Authorities note that Ghazanfar Nadeem had been evading capture since 2011, with various agencies continuously searching for him. During the operation, the terrorists' hideout yielded ammunition and contemporary weaponry.
According to CTD, Ghazanfar Nadeem, also known as Khalid Habib, went by various aliases and was implicated in 11 significant incidents, including attacks on ISI in Faisalabad, a suicide bombing in Dera Ismail Khan, and sectarian target killings.
