Babar Azam regains the top spot in ODIs, displacing Shubman Gill from the position.

Pakistan's former captain and top batsman, Babar Azam, has reclaimed the number one position in the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen, displacing India's Shubman Gill. According to the ICC rankings, Babar has accumulated 824 points, which is 14 points more than the Indian opener's 810. Notably, the third and fourth positions on the list are also occupied by Indian batsmen, with Virat Kohli at 775 and Rohit Sharma at 754, respectively.

Babar Azam ascended to the top spot after more than a month of Shubman Gill's reign and following Gill's rest during the ongoing Proteas series. Meanwhile, England leg-spinner Adil Rashid has moved up two spots to claim the top position in the T20I rankings for bowlers, surpassing Afghanistan's Rashid Khan (now second) and India's Ravi Bishnoi (third).

Rashid becomes the second player from England to secure the No. 1 ranking in T20I bowlers, with off-spinner Graeme Swann having held the top spot over a decade ago. Suryakumar Yadav, after scoring a quick century in the final match of India's series against South Africa, has extended his lead by 100 rating points in T20Is. His closest competitors are Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan (2nd) and South Africa's Aiden Markram (3rd).

Australia's Usman Khawaja has risen three places to the fourth spot in the Test rankings after his recent performance against Pakistan, putting him within striking distance of the top-ranked Kane Williamson. Khawaja's teammate David Warner has also climbed nine spots to 27th, while Mitchell Marsh has improved by 12 places to share the 68th position after a solid performance against Pakistan.

In the Test bowler rankings, Australia's captain Pat Cummins has moved up one place to third, Nathan Lyon has jumped three spots to fifth, Mitchell Starc has risen two places to eighth, and Josh Hazlewood has climbed two spots to 10th. Meanwhile, India's spinner Ravichandran Ashwin continues to maintain his dominance at the top.
