WhatsApp introduces a Secret Code functionality aimed at enhancing chat security.

WhatsApp, a widely used messaging app, has introduced a new security feature called "secret code," offering an additional layer of protection for chats, especially in scenarios where others may have access to the user's phone. This feature allows users to set a unique password, different from their phone unlock code, to enhance the privacy of locked chats.
With the secret code, users can opt to conceal the Locked Chats folder from their chat list, making it accessible only by entering the secret code in the search bar. Alternatively, users can choose to display these locked chats in their chat list. The process of locking a new chat has also been simplified – users can now long-press to lock a chat instead of navigating to the chat's settings.
According to the official blog post, this feature will be rolled out globally in the coming months. WhatsApp, owned by Meta, expressed excitement about introducing more functionalities to Chat Lock to further assist users in safeguarding their privacy.
